Curriculum Support.

Previous Page

Students who experience difficulties in basic areas of learning are supported through the learning assistance program entitled Curriculum Support. Mrs Carmen Bester is the Coordinator of the program in the Senior School and leads the team in providing additional assistance in literacy, numeracy and language where required.

Curriculum Support assists students experiencing difficulties in learning in regular classes. It includes support for students with significant learning difficulties, mild intellectual disabilities and language disorders.

In working collaboratively with classroom teachers and parents, Curriculum Support may provide assistance through team teaching, consultancy and training and development with other teachers, withdrawal of students for instruction, and monitoring of progress and support for peer tutoring and other programs.
