In September this year, Bailey O’Neil (Year 11) and Oscar Page (Year 11) represented the South Australian U18 Soccer team, in a tournament in Glenwood, NSW. Despite SA struggling in the tournament, especially against the bigger states, Bailey and Oscar were able to impress on an individual level in their respective positions (Oscar as Goalkeeper and Bailey at Centre back). In fact they impressed so much that, on the final day of this inter-state competition, they were selected in the All Australian team that was announced on the final day of the tournament.
Bailey and Oscar will now attend a training camp for the Australian team in early January, before departing for a three-week tour of the UK, when the Australian team will play National Under 18 schoolboy teams, and a number of premier league academy teams.
We wish Oscar and Bailey the very best of luck for their tour and congratulate them on their quite remarkable year of achievements in Soccer. Well done!
