2023 Viva All Schools Track and Field Championships – 28 and 29 October

The VIVA SA All Schools Track and Field Championships is the premier athletics event on the summer calendar for all students aged 12 to Under 18 enrolled in South Australian schools. A first or second placing guarantees an athlete selection in the South Australian Schools Team which will travel to Perth later this term for the Australian National All Schools Track and Field Championships.

St Peter’s College had 37 athletes nominate across 84 events. Of those 37 athletes, 12 won a place on the dais, earning a total of 6 gold, 8 silver and 5 bronze medals.

Andrei Chemutov (2nd 400m, National Qualifier for Athletics Australia Championships)
Orlando Grantham (1st 3000m Walk, 3rd 3kg Hammer Throw)

Under 15
Oliver Kirkness (3rd 400m)
Oscar Kleinig (3rd 700gm Javelin)

Under 17
Lawson Jones (2nd Pole Vault, National Qualifier for Athletics Australia Championships)
Stephen Lacroix-Sneyd (1st 1500m New Meet Record, 2nd 800m)
Alex McClure (2nd Triple Jump, National Qualifier for Athletics Australia Championships, 3rd 110m Hurdles)
Bailey Kerr (3rd 3000m)
Sandro Purugganan (1st 110m Hurdles, 1st Triple Jump New Meet Record and National Qualifier, 2nd Long Jump)

Under 18
Gman Paye (2nd 100m, 2nd 400m, both times National Qualifiers for Athletics Australia Championships)
Oso Oyugbo (2nd Triple Jump)
Henry Xenophou (2nd 800m)
