Renewing a Vital Hub of Sport and Community
For over two decades, the Burchnall Sports Centre has been at the heart of sporting life at St Peter’s College. Since opening in 2003, it has served as the training centre, competition venue, and home base for generations of students and old scholars. Whether on the basketball court, in the pool, or in the strength and conditioning room, the Sports Centre has supported not only athletic development, but also resilience, teamwork and school spirit.
In 2025, the Sports Centre will undergo a significant renewal, beginning with the changerooms. These spaces will be transformed into five premium, multipurpose facilities designed to support key sports including basketball, swimming, water polo, volleyball and badminton.
After more than 20 years of continuous use, this renewal will ensure the Burchnall Sports Centre remains a welcoming, high-quality environment for students to train, compete and thrive. It reflects the School’s ongoing commitment to provide exceptional sporting facilities that support wellbeing, participation and excellence.
