Welcome to the Early Years

Our Early Years (ELC) is a place for active, joyful learners where boys aged three and four begin their educational journey. We strive to connect and expand boys’ worlds, valuing them as individuals within our community of learners.

We know that young boys are unique learners and to develop a love of learning, they need a variety of collaborative and practical learning opportunities, both indoors and outdoors. Each day is a learning adventure that supports the boy’s natural curiosity and eagerness to learn.

Nurture and Educate

Our boys are supported by a team of caring, experienced and highly qualified teachers and educators. Our days flow as together we work on research projects with a strong focus on literacy and numeracy.

From the very beginning we instil the school’s values of truth, respect and service through our interactions. We nurture each boy’s wellbeing to create a strong sense of self and connection with others. Everything that happens during the day is a learning opportunity for your son to ask curious questions, pursue creative inclinations and display small acts of kindness.

Our Early Years curriculum has been developed using the ‘Belonging, Being and Becoming’ learning framework established by the Australian Government. Our centre has been awarded the highest possible rating by the National Quality Framework and Standards.

A Space to Grow

Our Early Learning Centre is carefully designed to incorporate educational learning and play areas, reflective zones and outdoor spaces to ignite inquisitive minds.

Students are provided three nutritionally balanced home-cooked meals each day.

The centre is open for 38 weeks of the year from 8.00am – 6.00pm. Additional care is provided during school holidays to provide continuity of care and further strengthen relationships.

Journey to Junior School

Our environment is intentionally designed to lead and equip the boys’ transition to the Junior Years. Catering for the needs and development of individual students, there are two options for your son to progress to the Junior Years via the Prep Program or straight to Reception.

The close proximity to Junior School provides many opportunities for the students to become familiar with the wider school environment. We are able to make planned and spontaneous visits to classrooms, the library, the hall and other facilities.
