03 August 2018
Applications opened on Monday 30 July for the 2019 Caterer Scholarship. This scholarship is open to all current Year 10 students who have been at the School for at least six terms. The scholarship provides for 25% remission of a student’s tuition fees for two years, being their Year 11 and Year 12 years at the School.
The Scholarship, first awarded in 1927, is named after Thomas Ainslie Caterer who was a master at the School between 1887 and 1922 and was twice Acting Headmaster, the second time for four years in 1916-1919. He was a keen and successful gardener, a talented cricketer and cricket administrator.
Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by a selection committee which will include the Headmaster and a senior staff member and two members of the St Peter’s Collegians Association. The committee will take into account the student’s academic ability, his involvement in co-curricular activities and in particular his strength of character, loyalty to the School and leadership abilities.
Application forms were emailed to all Year 10 students on Monday 30 July 2018. Applications must be submitted by the closing date of Friday 10 August 2018.
Completed applications should be returned to the Senior School Office. For more information about the Caterer and other scholarships, please contact Mrs Helen Cocca, Personal Assistant to Deputy Headmaster/Head of Senior School.
