Senior School students competed against 60 schools in South Australia over an eight-day period to practise languages and earn points. Not only did Saints finish at the top of the overall leaderboard but we exceeded our personal best from 2018.

The students earned 35 credit awards (500 points), 23 bronze certificates (1,000 points), two silver certificates (2,000 points) and five gold awards (3,000 points). To achieve gold standard it is estimated that 10 hours online is needed. Special mention to Louis Rust (Year 9) who came 10th in South Australia, earning over 4,000 points. A super effort!

In addition to the languages offered at Saints some students decide to take this opportunity to try learning a new language. We had students answering questions in Arabic, Russian, Italian, Latin, Japanese and Maori.

We are now looking forward to the World Championships in September and hope to break even more records.
