With weather being favourable to attracting participants, spectators and to athletes running quick times, we were not disappointed. Numerous staff and students populated the Main Oval to support their House runners, undoubtedly adding to the atmosphere of the occasion. 57 Senior House (Years 10 to 12) and 58 Junior House (Years 7 to 9) competitors completed the 4km race around a 2km loop of the School grounds. We were certainly treated to several outstanding performances and many amazing personal achievements.

None of this could’ve taken place without the:
- enthusiasm and leadership of the Heads of House
- the staff, prefects and School Captain who volunteered their services as event officials and course marshals
- the support received from both the School Grounds Staff and Natalie Worster (administration) and the
- involvement of Cross-Country coaching staff.
My sincere thanks to you all. On the day, I felt I was a member of a very special team.
While a review of the competition format and its return to a lunchtime time slot will take place, with excitement, we now look forward to House Athletics Day and the Achilles Cup competition.
