Providing an opportunity to touch, smell, see and hear technology in real world applications.
After six highly successful biennial USA Technology tours since 2009, we are excited to be able to offer eighteen students the opportunity to participate the seventh instalment: TEC7 2023.
Scheduled to depart at the end of Term 2, 2023, the purpose of the Technology tour is to expose students to the practical application of technology in a range of contexts, including, theme park automation, aviation, computer technology, film and special effects, robotics, computer aided design and manufacture, animation, and space exploration.
A key objective of the Technology Tour is to heighten the students’ interest in technology and to encourage them to consider technology as a potential career option or area for further study.
The tour will have a mix of educational and social experiences, which are exciting, and age appropriate. The itinerary for the tour has been developed in close consultation with leading suppliers of technology products and services.
Applications are invited from current Years 9 to 11 boys with further details in a tour information session held on Wednesday 17 August at 6.00pm in Room 58/59 (Ground floor Miller Library) for interested boys and families.
