Congratulations to our talented musicians who this week performed at the annual independent schools ABODA Music Festival held at Westminster School.

On the evening of Wednesday 17 August our Senior String Orchestra and Senior Orchestra competed for the first time at Westminster in this Festival. They played magnificently with both ensembles achieving a Gold Award in their respective divisions.

On Thursday 18 August our Junior School Concert Band were the recipients of the Gold Award and overall section winner of their division that included ensembles from Walford Anglican School for Girls, Prince Alfred College, Woodcroft College, Concordia College and St Ignatius College.

In Week 3 (Wednesday 10 August), our Junior School Chamber Strings and the Middle School String Quartet competed in the Year 9 and under string ensemble division of the Adelaide Eisteddfod.

The Middle School String Quartet received a total of 97 points taking out first place whilst boys in the Years 3 and 4 Junior School Chamber Strings took out second place with a score of 95. Both ensembles played beautifully and are to be congratulated on their performances.

These outstanding results are a credit to the boys, to their conductors who direct their ensembles with such skill and precision and to their parents who support these wonderful partnerships.
