The Saints Achilles Cup Team were once again crowned the Achilles Cup Champions for 2018, taking home the Achilles Cup Trophy on Thursday 27 September. The team won all age group categories, including U13, U14, U15, U16 and Open categories. The team also won the Athletics Intercol between Saints and PAC.
This win continues Saints’ long tradition at the Achilles Cup, having only been defeated once in the Cup’s 47 year history. There were some outstanding performances on the day. Special mention goes to Aidan Murphy (Year 10) who broke the State record for the U15 400m, winning the event by some 40m. This record was last set in 2007.
