The Mission Guild is working together with Anglicare to assist those who are less fortunate with the Anglicare Christmas Hamper Appeal. Items donated by the School community will be packed into Christmas hampers and bring hope to thousands of disadvantaged individuals and families.
We invite families and members of the Saints community to participate in the 2018 appeal by donating food or gift items. Donations will be accepted from Friday 2 November to Friday 7 December 2018. Two separate Christmas trees will be located in the foyer of the Pentreath building and in the Miller Library, under which the following items may be placed:
Christmas hamper foods
- Christmas cakes, fruit mince pies, puddings
- Tinned ham and tuna
- Baked beans and spaghetti
- Coffee, Milo and tea
- Pretzels, chips, twisties and cheezels
- Canned vegetables and fruit
- Christmas treats and snacks
- Nuts and dried fruit
- Toiletry items
- Breakfast cereals
- Long-life full cream milk and cream
- Pasta and simmer sauces
- Spreads and jams
Gift ideas (please do not wrap)
- Dolls, baby dolls, prams and cradles
- Art and craft sets
- Board games and jigsaws
- Footballs, basketballs and soccer balls
- Tennis and cricket sets
- Jewellery, hair accessories and make up kits
- Lego kits (for both boys and girls)
- Toy cars, planes and trains
- Construction sets
- Batteries for toys (AAA, AA, C, D)
- Books, CDs and DVDs
- Back-to-school kits including stationery
- New clothing (boys and girls)
- Gift vouchers.
The Mission Guild are also accepting donations on behalf of the Magdalene Centre with boxes of love for single mothers. The boxes are filled with a mixture of practical items and small gifts.

- Deodorant, breath freshener, tissues, hair remover, razors
- Toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss, mouthwash
- Nail files, nail polish
- Shampoo and conditioner (small or medium sized bottles), hairspray, hair ties, hairbrushes, hair slides
- Tampons and sanitary pads
- Small items of clothing such as underwear, socks, sleepwear, camisoles
- Makeup, makeup remover wipes, makeup brushes, eyelashes and eyelash curlers
- Moisturiser, cleanser, toner
- Hand cream, soap, lip balm
- Gift vouchers for services such as hairdressing, facials, or movie tickets.
