Applications for St Peter’s College Pipe Organ Tuition Scholarships are now open and students in Years 7-10 with a minimum of AMEB Grade 4 Piano or Organ are invited to apply.
Pipe Organ Tuition Scholarships provide a unique opportunity for current students to learn on the historic St Peter’s College Chapel pipe organ and will add tremendous value to your son’s musical education. Tuition is currently conducted by renowned musician Dr Joshua van Konkelenberg with lessons held weekly.
St Peter’s College will award up to three scholarships, commencing at the start of Term 3, 2020 through to the end of Term 2, 2023. Each scholarship provides 100% fee remission of weekly tuition fees valued at $5,700 over three years.
To apply, please download the application form and return it to Jill Page by 4:00pm on Friday 27 March 2020. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to audition in Week 4, Term 2 and perform two contrasting pieces of music. Scholarship recipients will be subject to the terms of the scholarship and may be asked to perform on the pipe organ once an appropriate standard has been reached.
Pipe Organ Tuition scholarships are made possible through the philanthropic support of a group of donors who are passionate about maintaining and cherishing organ music at St Peter’s College and keeping the art alive. The St Peter’s College Chapel pipe organ underwent a full restoration in 2015 and these scholarships bring further richness to the life of the Chapel and the Saints community.
