The Artist in Residence Program at St Peter’s College has been an important aspect of the Visual Arts curriculum for the past 22 years. The program commenced in 1998 and was initially inspired by the generous funding by old scholar Commander Ponton.
The program has provided our students with the opportunity to work alongside prominent and emerging South Australian visual artists.
This year we have been fortunate to have Zinia King working with our Years 9 and 10 students, as well as working on a group artwork during lunchtimes.
Zinia is an accomplished illustrator of children’s books and her whimsical approach to drawing imaginative characters has captured the imagination of our students. The boys have been enthusiastic in their approach as they created their own illustrations in her style.
The results of the boys work with Zinia will be on display during our end of year exhibition in Term 4.
