A reminder of the athletic development programs available this term:

Run Club
For Term 1, students, parents and staff are all welcome to join the SPSC Run Club!

Why Join? Stamina or cardiorespiratory endurance is one of the requirements for achieving good general health. It’s also highly beneficial for competitive involvement in many of our chosen sports
What does Run Club look like? Each week’s content will cater for a variety of abilities, age groups and previous experiences.
When: Sessions have now commenced and continue each Friday 7am – 8am for the remainder of the term.
Where: Meet in the Sports Centre Café for a 7am start.
How to join: Simply email me an expression of interest, then keen participants attend on the day – TChecker@stpeters.sa.edu.au

SPSC Track and Field Track
Track and Field is offered to all boys as a summer competition sport (Terms 1 and 4). There is also an opportunity for boys who have chosen alternative sports to choose athletics as a ‘second’ sport. In this case, while boys are welcome to enter weekend competitions, they may use training sessions purely as an opportunity to enhance personal athletic development, for example throwing, jumping, sprinting/acceleration, hurdling etc.

When: Sessions have commenced and are run Mondays and Thursdays 3.45pm – 5.00pm
Where: Meet at Scotchy’s Shed, the green athletics shed on Farr Oval for a 3.45pm start.
How to join: Simply email me an expression of interest then boys can attend on the day – TChecker@stpeters.sa.edu.au
