Congratulations to Tao Wong and Mason Qian who received certificates for their results in the recent invitational-only Australian Mathematical Olympiad. Tao achieved a gold certificate, placing him in the top 10% of entrants in Australia, whilst Mason’s silver certificate placed him in the top 25%.
These strong performances have resulted in both students being invited to attend the Australian Maths Trust’s High Performance Mathematics Selection School, to be held in Melbourne in early April. In addition, Tao was invited to sit the recent Asian-Pacific Mathematical Olympiad, a competition only offered to 25 of the best mathematical minds in the Asia-Pacific region! Well done, boys!
