Nicholas Edwards (Year 8) achieved 2nd place in the 3km Australian National Obstacle Course Race Championships in Melbourne, qualifying to represent Australia in the World Championships in Sweden.
At only 13 years old, Nicholas competed in the Under 18 division, challenging his strength, endurance, balance and speed over 25 obstacles and 3km of steep hills. To be eligible for the event, Nicholas placed 1st in South Australia and completed against 24 athletes other athletes who had qualified in their respective states across Australia and New Zealand. This is the third consecutive year that Nicholas has qualified to represent Australia in obstacle course racing. In 2023 and 2024, he competed at Worlds in the USA, achieving 2nd place in the World in 2024.
