On Thursday 28 March the Years 3 and 4 classes attended a presentation in Memorial Hall by well-known author Jacqueline Harvey. Jacqueline is the best selling author of Alice Miranda, Clementine Rose and the Kensy and Max series. She talked to us about her early life and how her Year 4 teacher provided her with the inspiration to become a teacher herself. She taught for many years before becoming a Deputy Head and then a Director of Development. Jacqueline wrote and told stories to her classes, and her books are so popular that she is now a full-time author.

The students loved hearing how she got her ideas for the Kensy and Max series and that the places in the stories are based on real places around the world. She told us how the Kensy and Max series starts and then read a little bit of the first book. It sounded so amazing and the students are now excited to read the series and find out what happens to super spies Kensy and Max as they fly around the world.
