The St Peters’ College Junior School Bastille Day celebrations were once again very successful and extremely enjoyable.

All of the students who study French in the Junior School celebrated “La Fête Nationale’, “le 14 juillet”, during Week 9 of Term 2.

The Prep to Year 3 students celebrated in the morning, while the Years 4 to 6 boys had their celebrations in the afternoon. The morning and afternoon teas were an opportunity to showcase the student’s efforts and dedication.

The boys dressed in blue, white and red, marched to the Da Costa Dining Room, ate delicious fresh croissants, enjoyed hot chocolate, celebrated achievements, learnt more about Bastille Day, sang French songs and were entertained by some incredible musicians from the Junior School community.

We were very fortunate to have some special guests this year. Mr Browning attended both festivities and congratulated the award winners. Some Senior School Prefects very kindly gave their time and helped with the serving of the food and drink.

Madame Hanna, Ms Procopio, M. Becker and Madame McLachlan are also very grateful for the assistance and support of all the staff who came to help us and to participate with us. We would also like to congratulate all our students of French for being such enthusiastic learners.

Vive la France! Vive le français!
