The new Junior School playground is already bringing energy, imagination and joy to everyday life at St Peter’s College.

Designed to support the play, movement and connection of students in Years 3 and 4, the playground was made possible through the generosity of the St Peter’s College community. Families, students, the Junior School Friends of Saints and donors all played an important part in bringing the project to life.

The playground was formally celebrated last week at the Blessing of the Junior School Playground. Students from Year 1, Year 3 and Student Voice and Action spoke about their personal experiences of the fundraising campaign and the ways they helped support the project.

The Junior School Captains then officially opened the playground by cutting the blue ribbon, before joining the School Captains for its first slide. Father Theo McCall blessed the playground and the students gathered there, while the Swing Band added to the celebration.

All Junior School students have now had the opportunity to enjoy the new space. The St Peter’s College Foundation extends its sincere thanks to everyone whose generosity, care and commitment helped create a place where students can play, explore, build friendships and make lasting memories.
