09 December 2022
In 2022, spirit and positive culture have been a top priority for us. This year, we inaugurated the Captains’ Cup, and we thank all of the boys for their fantastic reception of this initiative. This cup allowed all boys an opportunity to work together in their houses and have fun in low-stakes events called Captains’ Challenges. Each Captains’ Challenge throughout this year was awarded points from 1 to 10 for each house. At the end of the year, the house with the most points will be awarded the Cup, which we describe as an inter-house accolade awarded for the strongest cultural spirit.
We wanted to incorporate these recreational events and activities that do not necessarily require a high skill level to be competitive in, but rather, only require a collective effort and house spirit, to be successful. This year we had three major activities that contributed to the Cup: The Trickshot Video, The House Reading Challenge and the House logo re-design challenge.
In 2022, leading Farr house by a single point, Short House were our inaugural victors! Followed closely by Farr and Hawkes for a podium finish. The full leader board can be seen below! Congratulations to all houses on a tightly contested first year of this amazing competition.
We have been so proud to see the constructive, inclusive and enjoyable collaboration between boys in all of our Houses as they banded together regardless of skill levels! We hope that this Cup will provide positive opportunities for enjoyable and widely accessible fun, competition and camaraderie for years to come!
