Career Counselling is available to all students and parents at St Peter’s College. Meetings can cover a wide range of topics such as university degrees, back-up plans and bridging courses, prerequisites and ATAR requirements, the application process for local, interstate and international universities, apprenticeships and aligning a student’s interests and skills with career pathways. Key Dates for Year 12 students
Each of these dates will be communicated with students and parents closer to the deadline. Please note that some of these dates are still being finalised.
- Tuesday, July 29: Tertiary Evening in Memorial Hall (for students and parents)
- Monday, August 4: SATAC (South Australian Tertiary Admission Centre) Applications Open
- Monday, August 4: One on One’s with University Liaison Staff Late September (date TBC): Closing date for Medicine, Dental Surgery and Veterinary Bioscience
- Early January (date TBC): Change of University Preference Deadline Interstate and Overseas Application Dates Interstate application centres will open and close at a similar time to South Australia. For students looking to apply to universities in the United Kingdom, applications open in mid-May and close in late January. For students applying to universities in America through the CommonApp, applications will close in mid-January.
