As we celebrate the School’s remarkable 175 year history, it is fitting to reflect on the long history of giving to St Peter’s College and the role benefaction has played in providing for the School’s ongoing advancement as well as providing needs-based scholarship opportunities for talented and promising students.
From our early benefactors who had the foresight to create an institution that would foster the development of the colony, the generosity of our community in recent times will be forever etched in the School’s history.
The School’s inaugural Giving Day in 2021 will have an impact for years to come through the establishment of the 175 Year Anniversary Scholarship thanks to the 700 plus members of our community who so generously supported this initiative. This scholarship will provide life changing opportunities for students and their families who wouldn’t otherwise have the means to attend the School.
The impact of recent giving will also soon become a reality for our senior students with the much-anticipated opening of the historic Big Quad precinct in July this year. The transformation of the Big Quad to re-establish it as the heart of academia at the School would not have been possible without the support and contributions of the St Peter’s College community.
The completion of the Big Quad project is the first step to realising the School’s ambitious Master Plan and the School looks forward to working in partnership with our community to bring this bold vision to life.
