Join us for this milestone celebration, uniting Foundation members, old scholars and their partners, and current and past parents to honour the legacy and impact of philanthropy at St Peter’s College.

The evening will mark the 40th anniversary of the Foundation’s establishment in 1985 and include the launch of the Memorial Hall Fund – a perpetual fund dedicated to preserving the Hall as the School’s most enduring symbol of remembrance and community.

As we prepare to celebrate 40 years of the St Peter’s College Foundation, we’re delighted to share a story that captures the spirit of this milestone and one that will be honoured at Celebrating 40 Years of the Foundation on Friday 31 October.

Old scholar and current parent Dr Matthew Hutchinson (YNG 1997) recently completed the 4,250 km Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada – a 128-day trek involving 7 million steps, 800,000 calories, seven pairs of shoes and the equivalent climb of 16 Mt Everests.

Matt’s goal was clear: to raise funds to create a scholarship to St Peter’s College for a student who would otherwise never have the opportunity to attend, just as a scholarship to SPSC once changed his own life.

As our special guest at the Foundation’s 40th celebration, Matt will present the funds raised through his inspiring Big Hike and announce a new SPSC scholarship for a student from a disadvantaged background.

We hope you will join us at the 40th to share in this powerful moment of giving and giving back.
