It was a joy to welcome volunteers in Big School Room on Thursday 19 May, for a special breakfast hosted by the School Captains as part of National Volunteer Week.
It was wonderful to see so many representatives of our volunteer community together in one room. From committee members, class representatives and those who support reading programs, to volunteers involved in Buddy Up, Mary Mags Dinners, and helping in the Recycled Uniform Shop, the morning celebrated the extraordinary breadth of service that strengthens our School community each day.
The breakfast was hosted by students as an opportunity to thank volunteers on behalf of students, staff and families. Throughout the morning, one message remained at the heart of the celebration:
“Thank you for showing our students what it means to step forward, contribute and serve others with kindness, empathy and generosity.”
Our volunteers do far more than give their time. They share their knowledge, experience and passions. They help create connection and belonging within our community, while inspiring students to become involved, give back and make a difference in the wider world.
We are deeply grateful for the generosity of spirit shown by every volunteer across the School. Your contribution enriches the lives of our students and strengthens the culture of our community in countless ways.
Thank you for all that you do.
