We are thrilled to congratulate three exceptional St Peter’s College graduates whose outstanding artworks have been selected for the prestigious 2025 SACE Art Show. This annual exhibition showcases a curated selection of the finest Year 12 Art and Design works from 2024, celebrating creativity, technical skill, and conceptual depth.

Among the selected artists is Joseph Jureidini, whose ceramic vessels for Practical Two exemplify artistic innovation. His meticulous attention to form, texture, and glazing techniques has resulted in a collection that is both structurally refined and visually captivating. Joseph’s work demonstrates a deep understanding of ceramic artistry and its expressive potential.

Charlie Piro has also earned recognition for his evocative work, a tagine entitled “Waves of Safi”. This piece masterfully captures movement and emotion, drawing inspiration from precious memories of time spent fishing with his grandfather. On a section of the tagine, Charlie has depicted his own sail boat on an interpretation of Hokusai’s iconic wave. Charlie’s ability to translate fluidity and rhythm into a tangible ceramic product highlights his exceptional command of artistic techniques and storytelling through visual elements.

Haydrian Cheung has made a remarkable impact with three works, “Allegro”, “Adagio un poco mosso” and “Rondo Allegro”. The tripych showcases his deep engagement with musicality and visual composition, harmonising structure and spontaneity. Through bold contrasts and intricate detailing, Haydrian conveys a sense of movement and tempo, mirroring the expressive qualities of Beethhoven’s music within a visual medium.

The 2025 SACE Art Show will run from 18th March to 10th April at the Light Square Gallery, Adelaide College of the Arts. Visitors can explore the exhibition Monday to Friday from 9 am to 4 pm, and Saturdays from 10 am to 3 pm. Please note the gallery is closed on public holidays.

We commend Joseph, Charlie, and Haydrian on their exceptional achievements and recognition at this prestigious event. Their dedication, talent, and artistic vision reflect the high standard of creativity nurtured at St Peter’s College. We encourage our community to visit the exhibition and celebrate the artistic excellence of these young alumni. Congratulations once again to our talented graduates – we are incredibly proud of your achievements and look forward to seeing where your artistic journeys take you next!
