At St Peter’s College, the CEO-in-Residence program offers a unique opportunity for students to learn directly from old scholars who have excelled in their careers in a variety of ways. Success is not defined by wealth or status; it comes in many forms, from personal satisfaction to making a positive impact on others. By returning to the School, these leaders share valuable insights from their professional and personal journeys, showing that achievement can be about pursuing passions, overcoming challenges, or contributing to the community. Through open discussions and mentorship, the program provides students with a real-world perspective on different paths to success, offering practical advice on leadership, resilience, and finding fulfillment. This connection between past and present reinforces the strength of our School community while inspiring the next generation of leaders.

This week, we had the pleasure of welcoming Dick Whitington KC back to St Peter’s College as part of our CEO-in-Residence program. A founding member of Howard House, Dick attended SPSC from 1963 to 1967 and has since become one of Australia’s most respected barristers. During his visit, Dick shared his invaluable experience with our students, discussing ethics within the law and reflecting on key cases from his distinguished career. He also spoke about the history of the KC title, what makes a great lawyer, and the importance of logical thinking. Dick visited the Howard House Hub, met the current House Captain Noah Latimer, and even found his 1963 Howard House photo, adding a personal touch to his visit.

We are grateful for the time he spent with us and the wisdom he imparted. It was a pleasure to tour him around the School, where he shared fond memories and stories from his time as a student.
