On Thursday 30 March, old scholar Dr Guy Debelle (SHT 1983) shared his time and experiences with our students throughout the day. Dr Debelle joined us in the morning for a Parent-Son Breakfast session where he gave a presentation encouraging students to “use their voice” and share their ideas.

Dr Debelle also held sessions with our Year 8 students, the Geography and Economics students. Students benefited from the opportunity to ask questions and learn about Dr Debelle’s experience and insights when he studied at MIT for his PhD in Economics, while Deputy Governor of the Federal Reserve Bank of Australia and his work with Fortescue Future Industries and green energy.

Dr Debelle finished his visit with a presentation during our Senior School Muster where he encouraged our students to follow their passions and interests.

St Peter’s College students were fortunate to spend the day with such a valued member of our old scholar community.
