Our students were fortunate to benefit from Mr Tom Harley’s recent visit as part of the CEO-in-Residence program. In Memorial Hall, Mr Harley led a Years 7 to 10 Muster on Leadership and Teamwork where he shared his experience as CEO of the Sydney Swans. During the Muster, he reflected on the importance of focusing on positive behaviours, trust and respect as components of a good team.

During a bonus Senior School Session, Years 10 and 11 students were able to ask practical football related questions such as “What it is like to play in the premiership?”, “Who is your favourite player?” and  “What are professional pre-season training schedules like?”  Mr Harley then ran a small Question and Answer session with Years 7 and 8 students in Big School Room, where the Middle School students were able to benefit from his engaging stories and experiences.  The students were full of amazing questions. Mr Harley was able to share his message during all these sessions recommending that students should follow their passion and remember that your character is very important in football and in life.  It is important to treat people well, with respect and to have a positive attitude.
