The Chinese Society hosted a Table Tennis Tournament in Week 6 of Term 3, bringing students together for a friendly competition filled with skill, determination and sportsmanship.

Throughout the tournament, students demonstrated their table tennis skills while developing valuable qualities such as concentration, quick decision-making, coordination and perseverance. The competitive format also encouraged students to remain respectful towards their opponents and demonstrate good sportsmanship throughout each match. Congratulations to the following winners:

1st place: Lincoln Meng (Year 8 MAC)
2nd place: Bill Cope (Year 7 WDK)
3rd place: Mark Lian (Year 8 SHT)

Table tennis holds a significant place in Chinese sporting culture and is widely enjoyed across Chinese communities. By participating in the tournament, students were able to experience this aspect of Chinese culture through sport, while also connecting with students from different backgrounds. The event provided an inclusive environment where students could share an interest in sport, build friendships, and develop a greater appreciation of Chinese cultural traditions.

The Chinese Society would like to thank all students who participated in events throughout the year. We look forward to continuing to organise cultural and sporting events that bring students together and promote cultural exchange.
