We are very pleased to share the results of the 18 St Peter’s College students who completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma programme across 2019-2020, achieving a median ATAR of 95.25.

In particular, we acknowledge and congratulate the following students for receiving an ATAR greater than 99:

  • Thomas Gaertner (DAC) with an ATAR of 99.75
  • James Psaltis (HWD) with an ATAR of 99.75
  • Xianyi Dai (HWD) with an ATAR of 99.20
  • George Wang (HWD) with an ATAR of 99.20

A summary of the cohort’s results are as follows:

  • The average score out of a possible 45 was 37.28 (comparable to an international average of 28.48)
  • 42 merits were awarded for a perfect score of 7
  • 28.2% of all grades were a 7
  • 55.7% of all grades were a 6 or 7
  • 85.9% of all grades were a 5, 6 or 7
  • Of the 18 students:
    • 9 students gained an ATAR of 95 and above
    • 14 students gained an ATAR of 90 and above

Two students, Xianyi Dai and Deqi Wang, were awarded a Bilingual Diploma and Ethan Phipps received a Distinction for Theory of Knowledge and Extended Essay.

The School is exceptionally proud of these remarkable results that are testament to the enormous agility demonstrated by our students and staff over a challenging two-year journey.
