We look forward to welcoming you and your family to our annual St Peter’s College Community Day this Saturday 4 May 2024. Community Day is a cherished tradition on our School calendar that celebrates camaraderie, competition and community. Students from Years 7 to 12 will come together to compete in various sports, representing their House with pride and enthusiasm. From Football to Table Tennis, each activity has been carefully planned to ensure a day full of energy, excitement, and friendly competition.
Schedule of Events
8.00am – Students arrive (Report to House area on Main Oval)
8.15am – 12.30pm – Sporting fixtures across campus (See fixture below for where to watch your son(s) compete for their House)
From 11.00am – 1.30pm – Food trucks open (The Avenues), Bar opens (Old School House Terrace), Communal Lunch (The Avenues and in front of Pentreath Building)
1.30pm – Gather in House area (Students and families gather in House area on Main Oval for dessert and brief formalities)
1.50pm – 2.00pm- Announcement of results

Sporting Fixtures

Where to Meet
Upon arrival, parents are asked to visit your House area at the south end of Main Oval to collect a name tag.
What to Bring
Please bring your own fold-up chair. Tables and some seating will be provided for the communal lunch areas in The Avenues and in front of Pentreath Building.
What to Wear
Show your House spirit by coming dressed in your House colours.
Parking
Parking will be available in the Junior School, Hackney Road, Pembroke Street and Hatswell Street car parks. Disabled parking will be available in the Hackney Road car park. The Bruce Gates (Trinity Street) will be closed to vehicles.
Bathrooms
Located in the Sports Centre, Miller Library, START Building, Tennis Pavilion, Gordon Building, Junior School Hall, Lloyd Oval and Drama Centre.
What to Eat
Various food trucks will be serving a range of delicious options from 11.00am onwards:
- Babs Greek BBQ
- Bao Plus (South East Asian)
- Sookii La La (South East Asian)
- Caro Club (Burgers)
- Paella Bar
- Beyond India
- Chimichurri (Argentinian)
- Soza Sri Lankan
- Staazi and Co (Greek & vegan)
- What’s the Scoop (ice cream)
What to Drink
Coffee carts will be available near the Main Oval scoreboard and near Caterer Oval from 8.30am.A bar will be open on the Old School House Terrace from 11.00am – 1.15pm. Please note that bringing alcohol onto the School campus is strictly prohibited.
Chapel
The Chapel will be open from 9.30am to 10.30am for reflection.
Silent Auction
A silent auction will be held on the Old School House Terrace. From fine wines to weekends away, we have a range of fantastic items up for grabs. Proceeds will support the work of our Service-Learning respite programs (Buddy Up and Sony Camp). Payment for auction items will be accepted by card only.
