During last week’s Junior School Assembly, we celebrated students who participated in the Australian Maths Trust’s Computational and Algorithmic Thinking competition. The Computational and Algorithmic Thinking (CAT) competition provides students the opportunity to develop their problem-solving skills through algorithmic thinking. The competition incorporates unique ‘three-stage tasks’ that encourage students to develop informal algorithms and apply them to test data of increasing size or complexity.
We congratulate the students below on their High Distinction, Distinction and Credit achievements. A High Distinction is awarded to students within the top 2% of their year and region. Distinction is awarded to students within the top 15% and Credits for students within the top 50%. These are significant achievements for all these students.
