Young Exhibition for the Dux of School

Angus Ritossa ATAR 99.9

Angus Ritossa (HWD ’19) is the winner of the 2019 Young Exhibition for the Dux of School. He performed exceptionally well, achieving an ATAR of 99.90 and thoroughly deserves this achievement.

Subjects: Biology, Chemistry (Merit), English Literary Studies, Mathematical Methods (Merit), Physics (Merit), Research Project, Specialist Mathematics (Merit)

Achievements: RR Stuckey Prize for Mathematics, AMT Australian Mathematics Competition [Year 12] (Credit), Australian Invitational Informatics Olympiad [Gold], Australian Informatics Olympiad [Gold], International Olympiad in Informatics [Gold], MASA Schools Mathematics Competition (Prize), UNSW ProgComp (Winner), Pedal Prix (Co-Vice Captain), Pedal Prix (Symbols), Mathematical Society

Angus dedicated himself to his studies throughout his time at St Peter’s College and achieved outstanding results. He readily engaged in School events, functions and activities and earned House Colours in 2018. Angus excelled in the areas of mathematics and informatics while at the School and in 2019 attended the International Olympiad in Informatics where he placed ninth overall. He also represented the School in numerous mathematics competitions, was awarded the Wyatt Scholarship for Mathematics in 2018, was Vice-Captain of the School’s pedal prix team and also participated in debating, soccer and tennis.

Robley Prize for the Proxime Accessit

Thomas Panayiaris ATAR 99.9

Thomas Panayiaris (FLL ’19) is the winner of the Robley Prize for the Proxime Accessit and achieved an ATAR of 99.90

Subjects: Biology, Chemistry (Merit), English Literary Studies, Ensemble Performance, Mathematical Methods (Merit), Research Project, Solo Performance, Specialist Mathematics

Achievements: MR Freney Prize for Chemistry (Winner), Old Collegians Mathematical Methods Prize (Winner), House Colours [Farrell] (Colours), Badminton [Open A], Big Band Generations in Jazz, Improvisational Ensemble, Senior Rock Band

Thomas achieved a great deal during his time at St Peter’s College. He was a member of numerous bands and ensembles and represented the School at the Generations in Jazz festival many times. He was active in sport, favouring table tennis and badminton and represented his House in swimming and athletics.
