On Tuesday 15 November, the Year 8 and 9 EAL classes went on an excursion into the Adelaide Hills to complement a unit on food. The boys enjoyed a wide range of activities and experiences throughout the day, from tasting chocolates at Melbas Chocolate Factory, to climbing the Big Rocking Horse and feeding kangaroos in Gumeracha, to trying strawberry ice-cream at the Beerenberg Strawberry Farm.

Colin Chau (Year 8) summarised that some highlights included the amazing view from the top of the Big Rocking Horse, sampling the excellent chocolates at Melbas and that, while it was disappointing not being able to pick strawberries at Beerenberg due to the weather, the ice-cream on offer was nice.

I would like to thank Monica McCauley and Rachel Spiby for their efforts in supporting this excursion.
