The Year 3 boys have been working hard on various aspects of what life might have been like for Jesus as a young boy.
They were shocked by the amount of elbow grease required to grind wheat and barley into flour but impressed by the relative ease of turning cream into butter. The tactile delights of sanding wood and the focus required to keep fingers safe while hammering, induced intense concentration and animated conversations from the boys.
The boys also had the pleasure of a surprise visit by the Headmaster, Tim Browning, who tried out his wood working skills.
The simplicity of trying activities of what life was like in Galilee 2000 years ago offered an ironic and unique experience for these millennial boys.
