Exploration Society is offering some amazing holiday adventures both in Adelaide and overseas during the holidays! I am sure there is something that might interest your son so don’t miss out on these unbelievable opportunities while still at school!

October Holidays 2023:

Adelaide Hills Camp (four days)
Tuesday October 3 – Friday October 6
Aimed at Years 7 to 9 students ~$500

This program, running in the first week of the October school holidays, gives students an insight into some of the best outdoor adventures available locally in Adelaide. It’s a mix of rock climbing/ abseiling, tree climb, shuttled mountain biking (Fox Creek) & tube slide/ challenge hill. We will be exploring the Adelaide Hills from a base camp at the Woodhouse Activity Centre. This is a great bonding camp for boys in Years 7 to 9.

Fishing / Surf Camp – Yorke Peninsula (five days)
Monday October 9 – Friday October 13
Aimed at Years 8 to 12 students ~$750

During the second week of the October school holidays we will be exploring the Yorke Peninsula from a base camp at Corny Point. This trip will introduce students to some of the best spots on the Yorke Peninsula. We will be partaking in a range of activities that include a chartered fishing boat, surfing, snorkelling for abalone and fishing off both jetties and beaches eating what we catch! If you have a great sense

of adventure and love the ocean this is for you! No fishing or surfing experience required!

December Holidays 2023:

End of Year Trip – New Zealand (nine days)
Monday December 10 – Tuesday December 18
Aimed at Years 8 to 11 students ~$2800-$3800 (Dependent on numbers)

The final trip of the year is a multi-activities trip to the North Island of New Zealand. This trip is intended to introduce students to the amazing activities and landscapes that New Zealand has to offer; hiking, mountain biking, sailing, white water rafting, black water rafting and sightseeing will take place throughout the North Island.

January Holidays 2024:

Japan Adventure (11 days)
Monday January 15 – Tuesday January 25
Aimed at Years 10 – 12 students (in 2024) ~$6000-$8000

This is a new trip for St Peters College and if there is enough interest we will head to Japan!

This trip will allow our students to visit another country to explore arguably the best place to ski and snowboard in the world. Students will learn about Japanese culture, history, technology, and will also learn real world skills by travelling in a country where the main language isn’t English.

Cities we are likely to visit include Hakuba, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, Shinjuku City. Activities we are likely to do are skiing/ snowboarding, Hiroshima Museum, Kyoto temples, Tokyo tower, Tokyo aquarium, Nara Park (deer feeding), see snow monkeys plus many more!
