Every year since 2021, our cohort of dads and sons has gathered at West Beach Holiday Park for our annual Father and Son Camp. This year was the largest yet, with 34 pairs of dads and sons.

The first camp was organised by legendary mother Naga, who set up the whole event and then voluntarily chose not to attend so the dads and sons could enjoy their bonding time. Inspired by this act of selfless generosity, the Dad Committee was formed and has organised the camp every year since.

Thank you to the dads who have been with us from day one. You have been the bedrock of each camp. You were part of the famous “bedtime story,” and your victory over the sons in the inaugural father-versus-son tug-of-war will be forever remembered in Memorial Hall.

Thank you to the dads who are new to the School and enthusiastically volunteered to organise pizza, ice and drinks, and to help with the clean-up. It has been wonderful welcoming so many new friends into our community.

Thank you to the dads for whom English is not a first language and who may feel a little out of your comfort zone. Yet you attend every year without fail, and when asked why you come, you smile and simply say, “For my son.”

And thank you to our sons. You are our pride and our joy. This camp is about you — watching you play, listening to you laugh, being with you as you grow. You are quickly transitioning from boys to young men. And you will always be our sons.
