Our Final Year at SPSC: The Sequel…
Our names are Chirath Lekamge and Aidan Hughes, and we are the School Captains for 2022.
Six years after first stepping foot in these walls and fields, we couldn’t comprehend that our journey was coming to an end. Our final term as Year 12 students has been punctuated by lasts. Nothing could have prepared us for these final moments at St Peter’s College, from our last school lessons, our last musters, or the last time walking through the campus with our cohort as students. If you had told us in Year 7 that we would be in tears as we sang the last line of our final hymn at our last chapel service, we would not have believed you.
We were thrilled by the opportunity to relive these lasts one more time. We are looking forward to serving the School as Captains in its 175th year without the busy academic timetable that we have become accustomed to. The individuals we are today have been shaped and inspired by our time here at St Peter’s College. For this, we are indebted and grateful. We are honoured to have been entrusted with the duties and opportunities that come with being a Captain at St Peter’s College; we are eager to serve and give back to this community in the year ahead. We will make the most of this unique experience, and we extend our gratitude to the School community for welcoming us to our new roles. Please do not hesitate to contact us if there is anything we can do to support you in 2022.
