It has been a welcome change having all boys back on campus. After weeks of online learning and school holidays there is a new and exciting energy among the students. This year is not what any of us expected; however, it has far exceeded my expectations. The resilience, determination and enthusiasm shown amongst the boys has highlighted the strengths of this community and brought us closer together. I particularly want to highlight the sport and activities leaders who continue to lead boys in these challenging times. Thank you also to the boys and families who worked together and helped us make our thank you video to staff over the Easter holidays.
Since returning on campus for Term 2, Oliver and I have launched the Captains’ Challenge, with the first task for each House to produce a video. Each House had to produce a two-minute video involving all boys in their House whilst wearing House colours. You can view it on the Saints Captains’ Instagram page or on YouTube.
Congratulations to School & Allen for winning the first challenge.
Next week we will partner with the Junior School to launch our Anglicare fundraiser which will replace ‘Pyramid of Cans’ that is unable to take place this year. On Tuesday 26 May (Week 5) boys across the School are invited to wear red for our casual clothes day. As we are unable to donate goods to Anglicare this year, we are inviting the community to donate money to support those less fortunate during this difficult time. A link will be sent to all boys in the coming week if you would like to be involved. The recycled uniform shop is also looking for donations of outgrown and old uniform items and they will donate all profits from sales this term to the end of Week 5 to support Anglicare.
Thank you for your continued support throughout this year so far. Please do not hesitate to contact me at TPrince@stpeters.sa.edu.au.
