As we approach the end of Term 4, our School community is buzzing with energy and excitement. With just a little time left in our Christmas Hamper Drive, we’re thrilled to see how everyone has rallied together for this fantastic cause. A huge thank you to all boys, families, and staff who have contributed so far—your generosity is truly inspiring.
We’re well on track to smash our goal of creating over 150 hampers, and we couldn’t have done it without the tireless work of Ms Ashleigh Day, whose leadership has been instrumental in making this initiative a success. The hampers we’re building will support families through Anglicare SA, providing a little extra joy and comfort during the holiday season. This drive reflects the compassion and community spirit that defines our school, and we’re so proud to see it in action.
This time of year is also a great opportunity to reflect on the meaningful experiences we’ve shared as a community. One highlight has been the Prep boys’ visit to the Vailima Gardens Retirement Village. James and I had the privilege of joining them, alongside Ms Western and Rev Julia, on this special outing. While at the village, we spent time sharing scones and tea, reading books, and playing games with the residents. It was a beautiful moment that showed the power of connection and how these activities expand our sense of community beyond the School’s walls and fields.
Whether through initiatives like the Christmas Hamper Drive or visits like these, we are reminded of the values that bring us together: kindness, service, and the willingness to learn from others. Let’s continue to build on these moments as we finish the term strongly.
Thank you for your ongoing support and we look forward to finishing the year with you.
