Student Voice and Action Forum 

This year, the Student Representative Council is evolving into the Student Voice and Action Forum. This new initiative emphasises that every student has the power to make a difference, regardless of whether they have a leadership badge or title. The forum is an opportunity for all students to meet, share their ideas, act, and contribute to positive changes within our school community.

At the inaugural meeting, held on Wednesday this week, students from across the Junior School turned up to have their ideas heard. From Tom, in Year 2, who is interested in safety and compliance on the Junior Primary Playground, to Patrick in Year 6 who would like to see the Shinkfield fishpond restored, the students who turned up to meet with me with genuine and authentic concerns for our School is a testament to our value of service.

I eagerly anticipate seeing the ideas of more students being brought to me this week addressed and actioned in the coming months. I am also excited for more students to leverage their voice for positive change by participating in the Student Voice and Action Forum.
