Thank you to parents who attended the parent evening on Navigating the Digital World with Wait Mate ambassador, Emily Harrison. Emily outlined the Wait Mate movement, which empowers parents to hit pause on smartphones until at least high school. You can learn more about the initiative here. 

The key takeaway of the evening was the power of coming together to support each other in delaying smartphone use for our sons.

When 10 families in a year level make the pledge, a private community is unlocked, enabling you to connect with other like-minded parents. These networks offer opportunities to build real-world connections, away from screens.

School holidays can be a challenging time to limit device use. Being connected with other families who are similarly committed to reducing screen time can make a meaningful difference.

By taking the Wait Mate pledge, you can help strengthen our community-wide approach to guiding our young people in their digital lives.

Congratulations to our Year 4 students who performed in their Concert on Thursday night. It is always wonderful to see and hear the progress the students make over the course of a school year. Both staff and students can be incredibly proud of what they have achieved through the Year 4 Band Program.

As we approach the conclusion of the 2025 academic year, our schedules are filled with a multitude of end of year events; the Reception Nativity, transition visits, step-up day, Year 6 Graduation, Speech Day, Carols in the Cathedral, and the Palm House Pageant to mention a few.

In anticipation of our upcoming events, I look forward to seeing you around the grounds.
