From the Deputy Headmaster/Head of Junior School

It is hard to know where to begin when reflecting on the many wonderful moments from the past fortnight in the Junior School.

Our Years 5 and 6 Concert, themed Latina Fiesta, was a vibrant and joyful celebration. Congratulations to Katie Carey for her outstanding leadership of Junior School music, and to the wider team whose dedication brought this lively repertoire to life.

Our youngest learners delighted families with the Prep to Year 2 showcases. The Reception and Prep students shared their learning across all subject areas with great enthusiasm, while Year 1 students proudly presented their non-fiction texts alongside beautifully crafted dioramas. In Year 2, the excitement was palpable at the Book Launch—proof that every child truly is an author.

The Year 6 Migration Exhibition was a powerful and thoughtful display of learning. Students explored and communicated diverse migration stories through a range of mediums, including posters and suitcases filled with artefacts. From the experiences of ‘Ten Pound Poms’ to Vietnamese refugees, the breadth of histories explored reflected a rich diversity that we celebrate as a community.

These events have provided wonderfully engaging opportunities for our students to share their learning with parents and friends, and we thank all families for their ongoing support.
