As we pursue our vision to be an exceptional community of learning, the past fortnight, and indeed the entire term, has offered many occasions where this commitment has been clearly and proudly demonstrated.
Our recent Intercol fixtures against PAC were a standout example. The support from students, staff and families was outstanding, reflecting genuine sportsmanship and school spirit. Our boys competed with determination and represented SPSC with energy and enthusiasm, both on the field and from the sidelines. This event truly exemplified the strength and unity of our community.
Across the wider school, our service programs have continued to flourish. The Buddy Up program grows stronger each term, building meaningful connection and care among students. Individual House service initiatives have also contributed to our culture of giving. This week’s World’s Greatest Shave event provided a powerful reminder of our willingness to support those beyond the boundaries of our campus and demonstrated the compassion that sits at the heart of our community.
In every classroom, our teachers work to create learning environments grounded in our values. Their dedication ensures that every boy is known, supported and valued. When this is at its best, each student experiences a genuine sense of belonging. While there is always more work to do, our staff remain deeply committed to ensuring that every boy feels safe, connected, and part of something bigger than himself.
This week, as we journey through Holy Week, our Senior School community has taken time to reflect on the story of Easter and the themes of the death and resurrection of Jesus. These concepts can be challenging to grasp, yet they remind us that, as an Anglican school, we are strengthened by God’s love. Our Holy Week services have invited us to consider what it means to serve others and to follow the example Jesus sets for us in the world. These rituals play an important role in shaping and strengthening our community identity.
The Golden Rule calls us to love our neighbour as ourselves. When we show care, compassion, and concern for one another, our community is strengthened. This principle remains at the heart of who we are and who we aspire to be.
On 24 April, we have another opportunity to gather as a community for our ANZAC Service, held on the lawns in front of Memorial Hall at 10:20am. This service offers a powerful commemoration of those who gave their lives for our freedom and stands as an enduring reminder of the extraordinary sacrifices made by members of our community for God and Country during the Boar War, and World Wars 1 & 2.
Following the service, we will host our annual Community Day, a celebration of what it means to be part of our vibrant and connected school community. This event will start shortly after our ANZAC Service and concludes at 6.00pm.
A reminder that students are required to wear their winter uniform from the first day of Term 2. For your reference, please see the School’s Uniform Handbook.

As the term draws to a close, we wish all families a safe, restorative, and holy Easter break. We look forward to welcoming the boys back on Tuesday 21 April.
