Thank you and farewell to those staff who are departing the Senior School at the end of 2019. We had a fitting farewell for our long-serving colleagues this week, and will recognise the remaining departures accordingly next week. Best wishes to the following long-serving staff whose combined contributions to the School have been extraordinary:

Peter Warnes: 36 years of service
Laurence Humphreys: 26 years of service
Tony Begley: 21 years of service
Catherine Waldron: 17.5 years of service

Best wishes also to Sam Cheesman, Pat Aller, Sally Ziniak, Denis Agafonov, Amy Martin and Hayley Horton who conclude their time as staff members at the end of this year. Your contributions have touched the lives of many, and we wish you every success in the next steps of your personal and professional journeys.

I’d like to take the opportunity to thank the staff, students and families who have made my time here at Saints over the past four-and-a-half years so enjoyable and rewarding. Since arriving as a staff member in May 2015, with the remit to oversee the implementation of our Middle Years program, I have felt blessed to work alongside such dedicated and skilled staff, and to support such a wonderful group of boys and their families.

Saints is a special place. And it is special because of the people at its core. Thank you to all the staff who have supported and nurtured our Middle Years students, and ensured that these young men have found a home here at school as quickly as possible. Special thanks in particular to Andy Payne, Michael Gilmore, Mark Coventry and Nick Crawley who have worked tirelessly as Year Level Coordinators in the Middle Years. Thank also to the dedicated Mentors at both Year 7 and Year 8, whose care for the boys is exemplary.

Whilst moving on always brings with it an element of sadness, St Peter’s will remain home to me as a very proud old scholar. In this context I look forward to watching the continued advancement of the School, and following the progress of our newest and youngest old-scholars in coming years. I wish you all every blessing, success and happiness in the years ahead.
