Highlights of this week have been the Year 12 Parents Cocktail Evening, which was a fitting event to connect with the families of our most senior students at the start of an important year; a busy Open Morning across both Junior and Senior School for over 60 prospective families; a Muster led by students in the Languages Faculty, notably showcasing over ten different languages; and the Exploration Society AGM at which there was standing room only.

The students in our middle years have also now successfully completed their induction camps. This short adventure set some relevant expectations and priorities for the year ahead. For example, there would no doubt have been some initial trepidation for many, and so the opportunity to develop courage and resilience is always one to be embraced. The camps also gave our boys a chance to connect – with the outdoors, with each other and with their mentors. As a Saints parent, I see the relationship between our sons and their mentors as one to invest in. With this in mind, I invite you to join me in reminding your son to show the responsibility to be a steward of our standards on a daily basis – to keep his socks pulled up (as one small example) – so that his mentor, or homeroom teacher in the Junior School, can pursue more meaningful conversations that are sure to lead to a greater connection and, in turn, greater things.
