Student Leadership in our Junior School
In our Week 3 Assembly we handed over our responsibility of Anglicare’s Angel school to St Columba College. Our Year 1 boys performed a delightful song ‘An angel appeared in the sky in honour of the handing over the symbolic angels.

We were also introduced to 46 student selected Student Representative Council (SRC) members. The fact that there are so many students who are eager to put their hand up for these roles is testament to the confidence that our boys have to take on additional responsibility. I would also like to introduce Mrs Lisa Barnes-Daysh, one of our Reception teachers, who has taken on the role of SRC Coordinator this year. We look forward to her leadership of the SRC members who are responsible for sharing student voice and supporting our school value of service in the Junior School.

We are pleased that the Junior School Houses will also be supporting Junior School service this term with Alliston-Jones being the House partnering with SRC this term. I would like to thank Miss Joanna Tierney for her contribution to the SRC Coordinator role that she has held for the previous 11 years. When talking about service, it is important to put focus, not only on the money we can contribute to those in need, but the actions that we can make to our community, within and outside of our school walls.

Junior School Friends of Saints: Movie Night and Fun Fair
The Junior School Friends of Saints (JSFoS), is an integral part of our exceptional community. They are a committee focused not on fundraising, but primarily on ‘friend raising’. One of the highlights on the JSFoS calendar is the Junior School Movie Night and Fun Fair.
