The students at St Peter’s College are involved in a broad and engaging curriculum which encourages both academic success and enjoyment. It has been an absolute pleasure to welcome our parent community onto campus this past fortnight to share the boys’ learning in multiple ways. In Week 9 our teachers enjoyed meeting with parents, either in person or via Zoom, to talk about the progress the boys have made along with goals for our final term. Please fill in the Parent Teacher Interview feedback form to share your comments about this term’s format.

In addition to Parent Teacher Interviews, parents and special friends have attended a range of events across the Junior School.

The Year 1 and 2 Concert, held on Wednesday, was an absolute triumph. The Broadway inspired show, conducted by the talented Katie Carey, was a demonstration of teamwork, focus, rhythm and song. Well done to the boys and all of those who supported them in preparing for such a successful performance.

The Year 3 students invited parents to attend their Travel Expo to share the learning that they have been doing in Humanities and Social Science. Even though we may not be able to travel far off the shores of Australia at this time, the boys thoroughly enjoyed promoting their chosen country to parents who are dreaming of their next holiday abroad.

Year 4 students held a Poets’ Corner where boys shared poetry and music with their parents accompanied by afternoon tea. This was another wonderful opportunity to for our students to share the process and product of their learning.

The String and Orchestra Concert, involving students from Year 2 through to Year 12, Chinese mask painting, a Year 1 Pirate Day, Year 6 Passion Project Presentations, among our regular academic schedule, has made for an incredibly busy end to the term. The diversity of experiences that our boys have an opportunity to access, really is an indication of our commitment to being and exceptional community of learning.

Holiday Travel Plans
With such a busy term behind us, many of our community may be considering interstate travel. If you are planning to travel interstate in the upcoming holiday period, please complete the St Peter’s College Travel Register Form. This will allow the school to effectively plan for and respond to any changes in COVID-19 related restrictions.

No Hat No Play from 1 September
In line with our SunSmart policy, we require students to wear a St Peter’s College sun hat during outdoor playtimes starting on Tuesday 1 September.

Playgrounds After School
Can I please remind parents to refrain from letting their sons use the playgrounds after the school day. These areas are not supervised by our staff out of school hours.

Car Park Drop off and Pick Up: Arrangements to continue
Thank you for continuing to help us promote physical distancing during drop off and pick up. Please continue to follow the procedures previously outlined.
