06 April 2023
As we come to the end of Term 1, I am happy to report that our School community has made a positive start to the 2023 academic year. Our students have demonstrated excellent attitudes and enthusiasm towards their learning, and our staff have worked tirelessly to provide them with a supportive and engaging environment.
There have been many achievements on a co-curricular level and our students have shown great commitment and determination in their training resulting in some impressive victories across a range of sports and activities. Our music program has showcased some outstanding performances from our students in recent concerts and events.
I am particularly proud of the positive culture of behaviour that our School community has fostered. Our students have demonstrated respect and kindness towards one another, creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all. Our staff have also worked hard to ensure that our School’s values are consistently upheld, and that our students feel supported in all aspects of their lives.
As we approach the Easter break, I encourage all students and families to take some time for reflection and relaxation. This is an excellent opportunity to recharge and prepare for the exciting events we have planned for Term 2.
Some key events on the Term 2 calendar include our ANZAC Memorial Service, where we will commemorate the sacrifices made by our service men and women; Community Day, where we come together to foster a sense of community among parents and families in the context of House Sport; Generations in Jazz, where our music students will showcase their talents alongside other talented young musicians from around the country; the Jesus Christ Superstar Musical performance opening Wednesday 7 June and the Year 10 Outdoor Education Pushing the Boundaries program, where our students will develop their resilience and leadership skills through their challenging 21-day journey in the Flinders Ranges.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our students, families, and staff for their hard work and dedication this term. I wish you all a wonderful Easter break and look forward to seeing you all in Term 2.
